A few days ago, I left a critical review of Jeff. Although I still believe that the review was fair, Jeff's response showed a certain sense of self-awareness, grace, and vulnerability that gave me a newfound respect for him. Rather than responding defensively, Jeff made himself vulnerable and open to discussing how to better improve his methods. He requested that I reach out, and openly discuss things so that we can clear the air and he can work on what irked me, and others, as a founder. We often hear people mention that founders should be coachable, and should evolve overtime. However, we never speak about VCs in that manner, and rarely does their growth through time get highlighted. VCs make mistakes, and as founders, we should remember that they are humans that deserve second chances. From my recent interaction with Jeff, he's shown to truly care about founders and be the type of investor you want on your cap table.
