How Well Do You Know This Investor?

Have known the investor on and off over a few years

He will bend over backwards to get on your cap table and then you will never hear from him again. He’s not an investor, he’s just an opportunist who prays on inexperienced founders and schmoozes them with his outsized intellect. We felt extremely time pressured by him to close and in retrospect when we spoke to other founders in our YC batch - they did too. It seems like he likes creating artificial stress to make you sign without thinking.
