How Well Do You Know This Investor?

Jen is refreshingly low-key in a world of chest-thumping status-hungry VCs. She's incredibly smart, down to earth, and strikes a good balance between providing advice and trusting founders to run with ideas. When we were doing diligence on Initialized as a whole, the most glowing reviews from other founders were about Jen. When COVID hit, it felt like every investor was urging their early stage portcos to pivot if they were in the crosshairs of affected industries. Jen was one of the only ones to tell us to stay the course on our idea, because she believed our insight was more durable than COVID panic would have others believe. That's the kind of investor you want on your side.
