I've known Brett on and off for the last couple years, and have pitched to him both as a Partner at Initialized and as an angel investor. Brett is a current angel investor in my startup. What really impressed me about Brett is that he chose to be one of our first angel checks, even though we didn't yet have enough capital committed from other investors to ensure a successful fundraise. Brett was willing to take a leap and commit the capital early on. He was also comfortable with us using his name when speaking to other investors, which helped us close up our pre-seed round over the next couple months.
